NEW: Your PoMS Insights
If you have contributed one or more FIT Counts during this year or last year you may have received one of the new "PoMS Insights" emails from us. These are intended to provide some additional feedback on how your results compare to the rest of the FIT Counts that are sent in, and to thank you for your participation - and hopefully encourage you to keep adding new counts!
We have just sent out the first of these insight emails. We don't intend to bombard you with too many of these, and we intend to send just one more email in 2025 towards the end of the PoMS monitoring season. You can opt out of receiving further such emails via a link in the email you've been sent.
Research into the role of personalised feedback for biodiversity monitoring has been supported by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) via the Biological Recording, Verification and Interpretation project, and development of the tools needed to generate and distribute the personalised feedback has been supported by Defra's Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment Programme and JNCC's Terrestrial Surveillance Development and Analysis project.
Thank you for sending in your FIT Count results! Please do continue counting when you can, the more results we have the better we are able to monitor how pollinators are doing.
Don’t forget: FIT Counts can be done anywhere, including gardens and parks, in warm, dry weather during daylight hours from 1 April to 30 September. You can do surveys using the FIT Count app or via this website - see the FIT Count page for full details.
You can also sign up to the PoMS newsletter mailing list which will continue to be sent out several times a year.
